The Challenge
Attendance tracking is solved — biometric clocks, GPS clock-in, mobile apps all capture the data. Payroll calculation is solved — Talenox, Payboy, QuickHR all process payroll correctly once data is fed in. But the intelligence layer between them is entirely manual.
Every payroll cycle, someone opens both systems, exports the data, runs vlookups across spreadsheets, manually flags issues. Exception handling, anomaly detection, OT pattern analysis, cost allocation — all done by a human comparing columns in Excel.
Integration exists in theory — CSV export from attendance, CSV import to payroll. But it requires a human to trigger it, validate it, and reconcile it every cycle.
What nobody had was intelligent middleware between any attendance system and any payroll system — not replacing either, but connecting them with business rules. A rules engine that could flag employees with repeated late arrivals, auto-approve OT if pre-authorised by a manager, automatically split labour costs across projects and cost centres, and detect variance patterns before payroll finalises.
Our Solution
PayBridge is a Payroll Intelligence Layer — a rules engine and exception dashboard that sits between attendance data and payroll processing.
First, a universal attendance connector that pulls data from any attendance source — biometric clocks, GPS apps, manual timesheets. No vendor lock-in. PayBridge works with whatever attendance system the company already uses.
Second, an exception engine with rule-based flagging. Configure rules like 'Flag any employee with more than 2 late arrivals this week' or 'Alert if hours this month are 40% above 3-month average.' The system flags anomalies automatically instead of relying on humans to spot them in spreadsheets.
Third, reversed track attendance with GPS-verified reconciliation — ensuring attendance data is accurate and verifiable before it reaches the payroll step.
Fourth, automatic payroll calculation. Once attendance is reconciled and exceptions are resolved, payroll is calculated automatically based on configured rules — zero manual input required.
Fifth, project cost allocation that links attendance hours to projects, cost centres and client billing codes — automatically splitting labour costs. This integrates with JobBridge data where applicable.
Sixth, a labour cost variance alert system that flags unusual patterns before payroll finalises.
Results
- ✓Eliminates manual attendance-to-payroll reconciliation — no more vlookups across spreadsheets
- ✓Universal attendance connector works with any existing attendance system (no vendor lock-in)
- ✓Rule-based exception engine flags anomalies before payroll finalises
- ✓Reversed track attendance with GPS-verified reconciliation
- ✓Automatic payroll calculation — rules-based, zero manual input
