The Challenge
Construction SMEs run on WhatsApp, Excel and the boss's memory — and none of it audits, costs or scales.
Attendance is reviewed by hand each month, so hours are routinely booked to the wrong site. Overtime cost has no cross-site view, so the finance lead has no monthly OT exposure number. Material requests arrive by WhatsApp and handwritten notes, so deliveries get disputed and items go missing. Fleet dispatch means the boss messaging each driver every morning and guessing at routes. Payroll lives across multiple Excel tabs, and a single correction means recomputing by hand. Work-permit and certification expiry is tracked on sticky notes — one lapse and a worker is on site past expiry, a MOM non-compliance risk. Worker housing is an ad-hoc dorm-bed spreadsheet that over-books.
What the group needed was a single system of record: one platform that pushes structured work to field staff, lets leadership self-serve answers, and stays compliant with MOM, CPF, IRAS and PDPA by design.
Our Solution
We built an all-in-one construction operations platform that every role touches through the channel that suits them — a web platform for HR, operations, storemen and management; a geofenced, selfie-verified worker mobile-web app that installs and works offline; a Telegram bot for field staff who never sit at a desk; and an AI operations analyst that answers persona-aware questions over live data only.
Seven pillars run the business. Attendance reconciliation matches GPS check-ins to sites inside a 200m geofence, pairs check-in and check-out, splits overtime at the threshold, and flags the signature 'OT booked at another site' leakage. Workforce, HR and compliance keeps one record per worker — identity, work permit, foreign-worker levy, skills, certificates and MOM/BCA/SCAL compliance, plus dormitory assignment. Payroll runs MOM/CPF/IRAS-aware cycles with age-band CPF, the S$8,000 Ordinary-Wage ceiling, SDL and overtime at 1.5×, on a preview-then-confirm commit, and issues Employment Act-compliant payslips with masked NRIC. Operations covers daily planning, scheduling with double-booking guards, and a skill-matched jobs board. Fleet intelligence plans multi-stop trips with OneMap and Google OR-Tools route optimisation — which replaced the paid Google Routes API — and dispatches drivers through Telegram trip cards with live status. The AI analyst answers over live data and sends a 07:30 executive morning digest.
Supporting modules cover inventory and tool-loan, leave, worker housing, and a live executive dashboard. Everything is backed by nightly encrypted backups, a full audit trail, and a production CI gate — 900+ backend tests and 130+ end-to-end tests — on protected branches.
